  • "Simple but delightful"
    Visited December 2015
I wanted a late brunch whilst on a visit to Tewksbury and spotted The Bay Tree just opposite the Abbey car park. The decor is fresh and bright, with two cafe tables in the window and a more substantial seating area in the back. Service was friendly and helpful, even after I decided on a very minimal poached eggs on toast... The food came promptly, and the eggs were not only just perfect but beautifully presented with a choice garnish too; such attention for a simple dish makes me think that this will be a place to visit again for a more substantial visit!

Comfortable surroundings and lovely, friendly staff. Excellent coffee and later returned for delicious lunch - great food, good value and pleasant ambiance. Will call again!
  • "Unforgettable Remembrance"

We usually patronise this restaurant for Remembrance Sunday but had a delightful surprise today as we had almost a gourmet experience. The food was exquisite - both the Sunday roast, Suites and coffee. This restaurant deserves to thrive and become a jewel in the Town.
  • "Bay Tree"

Don't usually do reviews but feel that the Bay Tree deserves recognition. My wife and I both had an excellent meal in very pleasant surroundings .The service was friendly yet efficient and the delicious complementary bread and dip was a welcome bonus. A good local beer added to the pleasure. The food was well presented, very tasty and, although tempted, neither of us had room for a sweet. Excellent value for money. The acid test is would we go back when I'm the area? Most definitely!
